Strictly speaking this is not the Caldon Canal. It is the beginning of the Uttoxeter Canal. The mooring basin is actually the limit of navigation (at the moment) A wonderful location and one of the most tranquil scenes on a canal that provides inspiration for any photographer.

Everything in this local area is well thought out and perfectly landscaped. This is no accident it is the result of people with vision and imagination
