Booking completed

A promising start

Our three lunatics have now agreed when to go on the Caldon Canal trip and that will be towards the end of the season

The deposit is paid and now we need to find the balance. We have a plan...SEE BELOW
it just involves a brief visit to the bank

Only joking by the way - we know the banks haven't got any money

It's some time before we take the holiday, however, the 'Blog' will receive regular updates in the weeks and months before we embark on our voyage of discovery

Our business cards are in the pipeline  in order to publicise the trip

A trip to Stone

A decision to make
Nantwich is a wonderful place
This splendid photo of an Indian Restaurant next to a 'Real Ale' pub
captures the spirit very nicely
A few weeks ago our three wise men met in Nantwich over coffee to discuss arrangements for a canal holiday this year (2013), and as we had determined previously, the Caldon Canal was to be our destination. We had looked at a company in Stone, Canal Cruising Company, and a phone call confirmed the boatyard was closed, however we were speaking to Karen and she offered to meet us at the yard. We like this firm already

We set off for Stone and met Karen who then gave us a guided tour of a couple of boats. Nothing was too much trouble. We decided that 'Sophie Ginger' would be ideal for us as she's a six berth boat and that would give the three of us plenty of space. We were unable to confirm a booking at this time as we needed to check available dates

What a daft mistake

In deleting a couple of test messages from my mobile I've managed to delete the post about going to Stone to see the boat
I'll have a go at rebuilding it

I have rebuilt it from memory - it's above this post
